These are cheap and have the footprint of the original ones.
Fits Luxeon I/III/V and probably the mechanically compatible SSC.

Not collimating the light well, instead letting it slip out to the side. Performs pretty much like a concave lens.

Looking at these collimators from the front, they are not exactly what you would expect, but 3 hollow cavities of around 13mm depth. At the bottom of each cavity there's a convex lens. The optical performance is the one of a convex lens (chip image), assuming the LED is in the focal point. Mechanically, it's made in a way that Luxeon I/III/V fit nicely and are a bit out of focus, so this produces a smooth, very wide and diffused "beam" with lots of light refracted out the side through the white plastic holder (which is not good because it should go out the front as it does with the original part).
The part has not been made to accommodate a Cree Q5, but it can be put when cutting some of the plastic guides at the bottom of the white holder. You get a slightly more focused beam, still a lot of light escaping out the side of the unit with a rather dim result.

Unlike the original part of a well-known manufacturer, this is a cheap look-alike that wastes the precious lumens of your LED. It is much better go for some of the metal reflectors offered on this site.
