  • Good for what they're designed for

Ceramic blades should never get dull, very affordable and durable. Snips threads, ribbons, fringe, and that sort of thing very well

These aren't what you'd call super sharp. Basically the ceramic blades have a straight, clean edge and they easily cut through thread and paper, etc, but don't expect to do surgery with them or anything.
There also isn't any way to lock them together so that you don't have a pointy object in your pocket

Thrum scissors are made for snipping off loose threads. These are very good at that, and should stay good at it for a very long time.
The fact that that you can't actually cut yourself on the blades is good too. They are adequate for their designed task.

A good deal, I mostly wish i could get them with maybe a plastic sheath with a pocket clip. Something more than the paper sleeve anyway.
