Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month
If set up properly, you don't have to even think about it. It just does it's job.
Because of the nature of the product starting automatically when receiving power (via the power outlet in the dash of you car). It's mostly useful if you do one out of two things: 1: Take the time to hide the cable so that you dash still looks proper without any extra thirdparty cable hanging around. 2: Just get over it and deal with the fact that you have a ugly cable taking up you power outlet. If you rely on the battery, you need to manually start it every drive, I doubt anyone in a hurry does that.
If you're OK with a cable from you power outlet to the camera, go for it. It you're not OK with the cable, and have time and skill to hide it: go for it. If you think you're going to only charge it, and manually start/stop the camera for every drive because you're using the cameras charged battery instead of the powersource that auto starts/stops the camera: Forget it.
