Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week
Pros:
I've used with my Nikon D40 and kit lens, it stays solid, I can move the camera with no difficulty. Easy to put the camera on the tripod, uses a universal mount. The level helps you to stabilize the camera, maybe you gonna use the level for landscape shots, etc.
Cons:
Small mount, looks very fragile because the last segment (leg) are very slim. The leg lockers are a bit hard to release, but you can handle that.
OtherThoughts:
If you are looking for a cheap tripod (I think that the price can be less on this one) just to put your camera on and shoot, casual using, it's a good choice.
Bottomline:
I recommend it if you are a casual user, but if your camera (SLR specially) are heavy, maybe this tripod is not a good choice. I've used a D40 in this one, and the tripod was aceptable solid. If your camera is not too heavy, and you are just a casual user, go ahead.
