I used several different thermal greases until now. All were very thick and sticky - this one is almost a liquid which makes appplying more difficult but the layer of grease gets much thinner.
The consistence makes it a bit hard to dose - so be careful.
Most people think that the thermal grease has to be applied as a thick layer to transmit the heat faster. But this is wrong. Thermal grease is not a very good heat conducting medium - but ways better than air. So the purpose of the thermal grease is to fill the very little gaps between the component and cooler and press out the air. The best heat condutors are still copper and other metals. So the thermal grease layer shall be as thin as possible.
Since the thermal grease shall only be a very thin layer, this runny one is very good in my opinion. Also the CPU of my computer stays cooler than with the old one.
