Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week
-Really does help straighten your hair. -Easy to use (it's pretty much the same as using a flat iron). -VERY cheap.
-Build quality is a little poor, but as long as you treat it well, it will last. -While there isn't any thermal damage, it's possible to get mechanical damage from the forced styling.
The instructions are in Japanese, but it's still relatively simple to grasp from the pictures. I'd recommend using it while you dry your hair after a shower, as this results in the best straightening. For me (tight curls), using it leaves the hair the same way as straightening my hair with a flat iron and then leaving it for two or three days. I would use it in conjunction with a flat-iron.
