  • Does the job, but something is missing

    It does the job, mostly.

    0.05 MHz step interval.


    Have not yet found out if it can remember frequency setting, when power is turned off.
    Otherwise it starts at 87.5 MHz when powered up.

    No real manual.

    'Manual' states lower frequency as 87 MHz, but it loops around at 87.5.

    Starts playing from the top after power-up.

    Does not work with radios running RDS! I can turn that system off while listening to the player, though.

    With RDS turned on, the receiver starts scanning for other stations after a few seconds.


    The player was mainly thought to be used on longer trips instead of bringing home-burned CDs.

    This can still be in effect, but less so here in Europe, where RDS (RBDS in the US?) is in heavy use.


    Cheap, but working, device. Probably more useful in the US than here in Europe
