Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month
Pros:
It's a simple hot pot for lead, tin and possibly silver. It gets got quickly, and has an agreeable quality level.
Cons:
Has a dial for some sort of temperature control, it still melts my leaded solder at the lowest setting, so it may not be very accurate.
OtherThoughts:
Had to replace the mains cable, and when doing so the ground-cable was damaged. No big deal for me since I was replacing it anyway, might be some iffy quality control.
Bottomline:
Not much to say except it works, with a box of solder grease next to your giant cable soldering job, this will get your stuff tinned.
Non stick coating and does get hot
