Works perfectly with my Sony NEX-5N!
So cheap! The Sony original costs nearly 30 times as much as this!

Works really well for taking night shots on tripod, when you don't want to touch the camera to release the shutter, or if you want to take photos of yourself! It's probably not exactly a con, but you can only use this remote for shutter release - you can't use it to view your pictures on a TV for example, like you can with the original Sony remote. It would be nice if there was also a longer delay than the currently offered 2 seconds, though that would probably make it more expensive. If you need a remote shutter release for your compatible camera, definitely get this!

I have been using this remote control for some time on my Sony A55 for long exposure night shoots on a tripod. Because I dont't have to touch the camera there is no vibration introduced in the camera/tripod. None really. The IR sensor is usually located on the front of the camera so when taking a...

Because I dont't have to touch the camera there is no vibration introduced in the camera/tripod. None really. The IR sensor is usually located on the front of the camera so when taking pictures from behind your camera you have to reach over your camera to hold the remote control in front/above the sensor. Not as bad as it sounds so not really a problem. People notice less that you are taking pictures because your hands are not at the camera. This control is very handy and for this price you shouldn't hesitiate to buy it.

I'm posting this review just to let know other users that although is not in the suported list of cameras, it works perfectly with the SONY NEX-5 family of cameras. It works both for the inmediate shoot and the 2 second delay. None. It works as described. To be a little picky I would like it to a...

It works both for the inmediate shoot and the 2 second delay. None. It works as described. To be a little picky I would like it to be a little smaller, so It's easier to hide it in your hand. At the time of this review, Sony does not sell a remote control for the NEX-5 although it is described in the accesory manual. So if you need or want one, this one is foy you. Excelent value for money.
