Well...it's a tibetan jukebox! I had never seen them anywhere before here. It's very easy to use, takes regular batteries, and has a very nice design.
With batteries in, the battery cover doesn't really close properly on mine. The spring in the battery compartment to keep them in place and connected pushes the bottom of the jukebox out slightly, and the rails the battery cover slide on don't line up, so there's a small gap when the cover is on.
And it seems like I only got 4 songs! But what can you do.
It's worth it for the novelty value alone. I bought one for a present for a friend, you can pretty much guarantee that they won't have got one before.
It's a weird thing, if you're curious, you'll buy it, because there's certainly no practical reason to buy one :D
