  • Changed over to RP-SMA

    Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:

    * Has three locking angles

    * Solidly constructed connector

    * RP-SMA connector, not RP-TNC as mentioned previously. Your experience may vary.

    * Uh... it's black?

    Cons:

    * Squeaky and rattly

    * RP-SMA connector, I ordered it hoping for a RP-TNC... sigh. No real use for a RP-SMA myself.

    Bottomline:

    As mentioned, it's apparently now a RP-SMA, not RP-TNC. Take that into account - there is no guarantee that you'll get the connector you want.

    DX doesn't have any other RP-SMA or RP-TNC antennas of this type either, which is a bit of a shame. Consider buying an adapter; DX doesn't seem to carry one either, sadly.
