Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

Using NetStumbler to get a more reliable reading, here is what I found. With DD-WRT on an old WRT54G v2 using single antenna mode, I found that one of the two antennas I bought is defective.

With no antenna attached at all, the signal/noise ratio was 40.

With the default antenna, SNR is 58.

With the defective antenna, SNR is only 42.

With the working antenna, SNR is 70 - a definite improvement.

Also for reference, with an official Linksys HGA7T high gain antenna, SNR is 75.

    Not very good build quality.

I'm perplexed why I'm not able to get significantly increased range from higher gain antennas, like some others.

Good replacement antenna, but don't expect too much of an improvement over the stock antennas.
