Very compact and plenty of light - especially for sch a small flash light that easily fits into a shirt pocket. Light Output with 14500's is much better than with an AA Cell only. It still provides dim, but useful light with spent AA cells (tried with one that had 0.9V).
Since the XP-G R5 has a maximum Voltage Rating of 3.75V - it is probably not a good idea to use fully charged 14500 Cells (which then have 4.1-4.2 Volts). I only charge the 14500's for this light to 3.7-3.8 Volts and the light hasn't yet failed.
The 6-Mode Switch is actually simple to operate - a light press switches between the modes - and a firm press turns the light on and off in the most recently used mode.
Happy with my purchase and am considering getting more ..
