Romisen RC-C8 3-Mode 210-Lumen Convex Lens LED Flashlight w/ CREE Q5-WC (1*18650/2*CR123A/3*AAA) Pros: Bright enough to illuminate anything around the house, outside, under the sink, etc... Small enough to stick in your pocket or purse. I also love being able to use whatever batteries we have closest. Triple AAA feature is great when someone forgets to pack the 18650's and you realize most gas stations don't carry 18650's. At least you have 1 working light then.
I admit I am a lumen junkie. I have had all kinds of lights, but you don't regularly need 18 million candlepower for most circumstances (but when you do, that's when I like to know I have it). This has become the most used light in our house of about 15 others.
Cons: It's a little pricey, but considering what I've spent on other ones or what I didn't spend on cheaper ones that I don't even use or threw out, this is not too bad. I think it would be my all time fave if it could zoom, but it actually doesn't suffer from not zooming. This is a great light, especially if you are just buying one light (I usually have 6-9 lights per order). Great construction too. It has taken a beating and you would never know.

It's a quality product as already pointed out by many reviewers here. But if there were one thing I could change, I'd make it remember the last used mode. I have been using this flashlight for a year when working on cars, and every time I switch the flashlight on, I have to click through the other two modes (strobe and bright), which can be a bit annoying sometimes. By the way, one reviewer says there's no difference between bright and dim light mode, but dim is dim and bright is definitely bright, his flashlight must be broken. Overall a great buy.

Zoom is nice and tight, doesn't slide by itself. Mode memory would be great, but no biggie once you know how to switch modes quickly No cut off to save battery, but sometimes it's perfect: when you are camping and don't have any means to charge the batteries, it will last many hours with one charge. (i used 18650 Li-ion) I recommend it to anyone who wants a small, reliable and bright flashlight.

Plastic lens Excellent product. The brightness is very high and also you can use standard AAA batteries. The price is just right and the quality is also high. I can't confirm that the light is bright as promised (210 - Lumen) but I can't imagine that anyone is needing more light. Nothing

This light takes standard tripple A batteries and throws a good amount of light. It feels well in the hand and has a good bright beam of light coming from this little source. It's comfortable to hold and overall a very decent light. I bought this torch as an upgrade to my Flood-to-Throw Zooming Cree P4-WC 3-Mode 100-Lumen LED Flashlight. I'm not so sure it's an upgrade. At almost twice the price and rated for more than twice the light output, it doesn't seem to be all that. While it is brighter than the light i hoped it woudl upgrade, it is not twice as bright to my eye. The click-switch seems to be better and the torch seems to remember the last setting better, but this is minor and not really helpful. I also worry about the plastic lens. For the price this is a great little light. I am happy with my purchase and am sure this light will serve me well as I live in a black-out prone area (I wish I had this for Sandy).
Again, the selling point for me was the 210 lumens and the AAA battery source.

You can use strong thin light or adjust it to be more like car lights (usable for bicycle rides) - You can use or 1*18650 (w/ or w/o protection) or 2*CR123A or 3*AAA battery (battery adapter included)
- 3 hours with Sanyo 2600 w/ protection (also purchased on dx)
- Good heat sink
- Q5 is pretty energy-saving - Plastic lens (easy to left scratch on it). It's placed deep enough to prevent scratches, but who knows... On other side it's pretty easy to brake glass...
- Strobe mode... Neither real strobe... not like these you seen on parties nor SOS signal... First of all it's my first serious flashlight. There is many flashlights on dx. It's really difficult to choose.
Some people search for "tactical flashlight" which can make your enemy "blind". I don't have enemies. So I have search for something more useful in everyday life. And I found one - Remsien RC-C8 with CreeQ5.
