  • Compact built-in MP3 FM module

    posted by bfridman on 04/20/2013

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

Remembers the settings while disconnecting the module from the power (except time), What lets to power up/down by disconnecting power supply.
Can be put to Stand-By mode and awaken from it without remote control what lets in the future to turn on/off by remote control

Doesn't have the connection for RTC (Real Time Clock) back up battery (although it is mentioned in user manual) so the clock need to be readjusted after power disconnection.
If the alarm was deactivated, it is reactivated again every time when the module is awaken from Stand-By mode.
On the front panel the button "Vol+" is placed at the left side from the "Vol-" button; also the "Prev" button is placed at the right side from the "Next" button what causes to some confusions.

I have gotten the module with black front panel instead of gray. For me it wasn't something important, but if for anyone is important the color he must take it in account.

The module can be put to and awaken from the Stand-By mode without remote control by long pressing on "Mode" button on the front panel.
The clock and alarm can be adjusted in standby mode. "Mode" button in Stand-By mode turns on and off clock adjustment while "Play/Pause" button turns on/off alarm adjustment.
The alarm can be activated and deactivated by long pressing on "Play/Pause" button in Stand-By mode, by while awaking it reactivates again.
If the alarm is activated, at the time set in the alarm the module will be turned on.
The power voltage shouldn't exceed 4.2 volts otherwise the module in the Aux/SD/USB module will noise and won't accept the commands from remote control.
