Useful for switching random things.
Simplified hookup, but easy to modify.
Decent implementation of a 2262/72 switch.
OK range, sufficient for most applications I'd think.
Low quality plastic case ( the second one I ordered had one of the fastening tabs broken off )
Chip is kind of sensitive to interference but that's probably not a problem until you start modding it.
Also a modder's con is that it uses an L (latching) series chip so adding local buttons to it is quite hard and probably not worth it.
Both of mine arrived set to the same code which leads me to believe the factory doesn't randomize them. Bad for people who want to order and use multiple units in the same area but have no means to change the code.
If you want to switch a random mains device remotely get it. If you're looking for a light switch there are better ones on DX for that ex.: sku 5298
