This works as promised. It helped me very much when repairing a motherboard. Otherwise, it is very difficult to remove the solder from the holes, because those are multi-layer boards, and the solder is lead-free.
Could be cheaper/longer :p
Usage: put the solder wick into the soldered hole and start heating it up. The solder should move into the solder wick. Use scissors or wire cutters to remove the used part of the wick. Repeat until the desoldered component can be removed easily.
