Pros: Big robust lock, metal locking bolt, electromagnetic, and fail-safe (open) in event of power loss. nice sound when bolt locks Cons: Can get quite warm, will need regulated power supply to prevent overheating. 900ma@12v (11watt) power draw when locked

Does what it is supposed to do. A magnetic switch is included to make sure that the bolt is only activated when the door is closed. Good thing: during a power outage (or a blown fuse) the bolt retracts and the door is open.

Might be a little hard to install. I used it with my X10 home automation system and it works very well! Now I can... Read more
