They clip. They look like alligators. That must mean they're ALLIGATOR CLIPS! So what's so good about them? They have a good clamping strength. You can solder or crimp them. The insulating cover keep you from getting shocked. The large size is quite large, good for clipping to larger gauge wires or other objects.
Some of the bad things about them: Jaws on some can be somewhat misaligned. A few taps of the hammer on the pivot pin makes them straighten up. The insulating covers seem a bit thin, so I wonder how long they'll last before ripping. The metal seems to be a thin gauge compared to some other higher quality ones I've used.
Useful for other stuff besides as temporary electrical connections. For example, as a clip/holder for a "third hand" while soldering.
Lots of good clips for cheap. What else is there to say?
