Cool little light set, each LED is multi-color, flashes through various shades. They have some sort of circuitry in them which starts out with them all in sync and very quickly they all get out of sync.
Their best use to my mind is to dump the crappy battery holder and attach them to a USB cable. Then you have festive lights for your desk!
There's a resistor in the battery box, extract that intact (it's hot-glued in place, so warm the glue) and wire the resistor to the black (gnd) wire, the other one to the red.
Battery box is junk. I had to bend connectors etc. to get mine to work properly. I can't imagine it would stand too many changes of batteries.
The flashing pattern is a bit manic - I'd like it to be slowed down.
I bought mine in 2007. Details may have changed
Nice lights - glad I have them, especially now they're USB powered.
