Very bright and white light. Works on everything between 7,5 and 20 Volts! THe 5 LED's are connected in series and light up with full brightness across a wide range of voltages. Could be driven with just 2 lipo's as a cheap helmet light. Driver is glued inside the bulb base. It would be nice for...

Could be driven with just 2 lipo's as a cheap helmet light. Driver is glued inside the bulb base. It would be nice for us modders if wasn't :-) Quite expensive compared to the 4W items but the driver in those are typical PT4115 items that are buck only. Front lens is held in place by a flimsy ring and the LED's are poorly centered in relation to the optics. I'm going to power mine with a 3S lipo to make a fine winter helmet light. It gonna be a bright, bright christmas...

The lamp is pretty good. It seems good quality. The amount of light that gives enough, with five LEDs. The light is very white and from the ceiling of the room to come down the stream of light perfectly. the number od lumens is very high for being of 12 volts. not really a counter but his cap is...

The light is very white and from the ceiling of the room to come down the stream of light perfectly. the number od lumens is very high for being of 12 volts. not really a counter but his cap is a little big, and in my case the lamp holder has a diameter slightly greater and when I put the lamp inside moves slightly in the holder. not appreciated flicker when turned on, and the lighting of the lamp is very fast After buying five different types of LED this is the whitest light facing harder. The lamp is 450 lumens is more and more consumption set to be 12 volts. The totally recommend.

Great near daylight light, really bright. - Larger heatsink than the 3W/4W equivalents so you need vertical room
- Additional cost
- Would be perfect product if it had a 45/60 degree beam option - This is the sister product to 65173 (5-led 3800K) and from the same family line as 39027 (4-led and...

- Due to whiteness light seems equivalent to 50W halogens although the bean angle is still less - not as good if low ceilings Great powerful cool white light, perfect for sunny rooms, areas leading to outside, modern areas with blacks and whites.

Nice bright white light. No noticable blue tinge like some lights in this temperature range. Appearance when off is attractive compared to SMD LED lights, looks more like a standard Halogen bulb. Don't get any where near as hot as the halogens. Light beam is a little too focused (equivalent to about 38 degree halogen in my estimate) and doesn't spread like a halogen. Mine are working fine on my original iron core transformers. If you are installing new downlights I would increase the number required as most LED downlights seem to suffer from a narrower beam. If installing in an existing fitting, I would check the depth as these are a little longer than standard halogens. These are still good value and I am happy with them. They do not light up the room like 50w halogens but they do throw a brighter spot.
