Lightweight, folds up fairly small, low cost. Great for compact cameras.
Possibly somewhat flimsy for some users. Don't step on it -- it will bend!
I wanted a small, light-weight tripod to take on holiday for night shots. Most tripods of that description are fearfully expensive. This one is what I wanted -- it folds up reasonably small, is light, and sturdy enough for my compact travel-cam. I took it into the city to test it for nightshots -- it works fine. It didn't get high enough to 'see' over the railings of a bridge but this was OK -- a tripod high enough to do that would be twice the size and weight.
A friend recently bought a travel tripod for $150. Sure, it’s better than this one but no0t 10 times better.
The tripod has fairly spindly legs and might not be too steady in a breeze gut that;’s the trade-off.
Great value for money. I've got a mid-range full-size tripod but I don't want to cart it around Europe. This one is just what I was looking for.
