Price point - really great light for this price.
Decent amount of light.
Real low power consumption, can put it anywhere, don't worry about wires etc... none, except wide rim perhaps, just something to know when considering installs. Professional in the field of electronics, 15yrs experience. and...

Would and do recommend for anyone looking for easy, affordable and convenient install. I buy only these light for me and friends, did not have a single complaint.
In small size rooms 2 are enough, in large rooms 4 of them are rally enough.
If you have a reading area postilion one directly above and you will have natural reading light!

On our farm we depend for electric power on only a gasoline powered generator and a battery pile. We ordered 10 of these LED lamps and 10 of the smaller 2 watt lamps. Last we we received them 3 weeks to the day from Deal Extreme. We changed all of the lamps from mini florescent to these. Our batteries last twice as long between generator runs. The lamps all work beautifully. The voltage draw is less for these then for the Florescent lamps. The color of the light is on the blue side, but the sheep don't seem to care and we will get used to it. We we will certainly be shopping more at Deal Extreme. These do a wonderful job lighting the farm. they also are supposed to have a much longer life (at least 50000 hours!) Deal extreme was very professional supplying them. We calculate that we will save at least 25% on our fuel bill.

It is simply to week. Not for light - only decoration To dim to be very useful, except some decorative lamps, where no light needed.

I replace an 11W Fluorescent energy saving bulb with this 4.5w Led light. So it would cut the energy consumption in half. As a LED light, it has a much faster power-on time, with instant max light output (the fluorescent bulb took about 1 min to achieve max light output. - The light is cold, very...

As a LED light, it has a much faster power-on time, with instant max light output (the fluorescent bulb took about 1 min to achieve max light output. - The light is cold, very cold, ice cold ! Therefor, I would consider it not usable at all in a house application, unless you really like cold lights.
- right on the axis of the light, there is a pattern visible. The pattern is about 40x40 cm (about 15x15 inch) at a distance of about 1 meter (3 ft). This would just be noticeable on a flat and even surface though. After switching it off, some of the leds still emit a bit of light. Not much though, and that fades in a minute or so.
The light output seems to be slightly below the 11W bulb it was supposed to replace (I won't do it though because of the color temp). Disappointed about the very cold colour temperature.

Very low energy consuming lamp (only 4.5W).
I would say it is equivalent to a traditional incandescent 40W lamp. On 230V, when off, it still emits an almost imperceptible little bit of light. Though it consumes so little energy and probably won't add significantly to your energy bill, this should...

Though it consumes so little energy and probably won't add significantly to your energy bill, this should be fixed. My next buy will be a 7W or 8W lamp. That should roughly be equivalent to a traditional incandescent 75W lamp, and so be able to light up bigger rooms. Great value for money. I would definetly buy another.
