  • A good gadget for children

    posted by frsimondx on 01/03/2010

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    * One started (just fold and shake it to mix the chemical components), it emits a very bright light, enough to see what is in a dark room.
    * It lasts longer than expected. Except the orange and red ones (see "Other thoughts"), the stick still emits light (of course, each time less bright) after 24 hours.
    * The build quality looks very good: my little children played with them for a while without any physical degradation (just avoid bite it).
    * They came with plastic pieces that allows to form a ring, or to connect them together (necklace). The caps of the shipping tube can be used to connect several sticks together.

    * The price could be a little lower, but still acceptable

    * The pack I received comes with 10 units of each color: blue, red (well, better say pink), orange (almost red, could be called vermillon), yellow and green.
    * The read (pink) and orange are a little less brighter than the others, and last less time.
    * The blue one seeks darker as the others at once, but lasts as long as the yellow and green ones, and at the end, lasts a little more that the red and orange ones.
    * At first, the light is very bright, and then goes dimming after hours. After 24 hours, the red and orange ones are almost off, but the other colors still glow in the dark, and well visible by night. After 36 hours, the light is almost completely off

    * A defenitively good choice, and a good adquisition for children (you give one once a day, or every two days, and the child is happy to go to bed with it), or to play in the dark.
