low cost, small, compact, seems to be reasonably accurate but I have no way to calibrate

originally looking for a sensor that would record while unplugged from the PC. This won't do that (you need a datalogger see SKU: 71121 instead).
Item Title should have made that clear and used the word "Sensor" and not "Recorder"
software is a little clumsy to use.
    Documentation is very light

Can see where a 1 or 2 meter USB extension cable would be good if you want to measure room temp instead of PC temp.
Needs an option to start at PC boot up and run in systray.
interesting remote viewing of temp via MSN messenger
Wish docs had included the API so I could write my own programs to talk to the sensor.

Excellent price for simple temperature sensor with software.
