  • XML-T6 Assault Crown White Bike Light

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

This unit pumps out an enormous amount of light. I wanted to use these lights (I have 2 of them) as auxiliary lighting, but instead they became the main light. No detail will be missed with the lights. These units produce a lot of light in the center, and a wider, less bright circle around that, almost 180 degrees around.
The strobe-light is a nice feature (pro) but way too bright (con).

The lights blind on-coming traffic. The light-unit feels pretty heavy, it weights 132 grams and there is no rubber anti-slip surface underneath the mounting-plate. This results in little vibration while driving on pavement.
It's kind off strange that the cable comes out off the lamp-unit facing forwards.

This light is equipped with a symmetrical reflector. This means that the light-beam goes straight forward, blinding on-coming traffic. No problem if you're biking in the woods, but useless while driving in traffic. An a-symmetrical lens, specially designed for traffic use could be a valuable add-on. The strobe-light would be more useful with dimmed-light, not with bright light.

Great value for money. Durability? Time will tell.
