Does what it says (converts DVI to HDMI). And that it does fairly sensibly.
There is one major flaw with this product. It will only work if the port is DVI-I (analog + digital). If it's DVI-D only, the darn DVI side of it won't fit. Since the analog video signal doesn't get passed over HDMI anyway, there's no point in getting this product over one that is "24 + 1" (and since it's not dual-link HDMI anyway... which doesn't really exist except on paper, there's no point in having more than 18 pins on the DVI either!)
There's another SKU (1279) which is 24+1 to HDMI. Wish I'd gotten that one instead, since my over-the-air HD receiver only accepts a DVI-D plug.
If you're connecting to a PC, it probably doesn't really matter. However, if you're connecting to anything else, you might consider going to the SKU 1279 version. In fact, there's no downside to always buying SKU 1279, so... just buy that one instead, since they're the same price.
