Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:

    Uses inexpensive AAs.

Good amount of spill - floody.

The 30 LEDs are uniformly bright, no weak ones.

I was able to get 3 distinct levels of brightness, unlike some other reviewers.

    The price is right.

    Cons:

As others have mentioned, once you put the battery module in, it is a bit difficult to get back out.

Build quality could be better. It's all cheap feeling plastic.

A bit heavy on your forehead because of the large head and 3 AAs.

    OtherThoughts:

Good for floody applications, crawling under desks, working on computers.

On low level 1 I use it every night to read books to my kids in the dark. Lights the books uniformly.

Honeycomb pattern of the LEDs looks cool.

    Bottomline:

Buy it if you need a good, inexpensive, hands-free floody light.
