Wanted a wireless pulse rate monitor for exercise, and have tried many different models costing much more. This one actually works as a PRM, but with a few caveats. The build quality seems good, but it remain to be seen how long it will last. Has a fairly extensive menu for "zone" calculations, but you should gather a lot of information on aerobic exercise for it to make sense to you.
If you have a hairy chest, you really need to use a conductive gel. The menu system is somewhat complicated, but does allow you a fair number of options (alarm for upper, lower heart rate, etc.).The most annoying aspect is that the PRM only starts the countdown timer mode, not the way many of us exercise. Also, the watch will not receive a signal from the sender if your arms hang down all the way but will pick it up quickly enough when you bring your hand closer.
Overall, not bad, especially for the money.
If you are into exercise, especially, aerobics, a PRM is a must have.
