Ranges all the way down to 0.25v and up to 1000v & current from 0.1mA to 250mA, making it great for testing everything from batteries and ICs to coils. Quite accurate. Testing a few fresh batteries and known resistors produced readings that were spot-on. Analog gives a better feel for changes in readings and doesn't require batteries to test voltage or current output. Takes either 9v or 2xAA for resistance testing, so you can use whatever is handy.
Easily damaged in transit, apparently. It's shipped in the same brown paper bubble mailer most products are, but that offers little protection from being crushed for mostly hollow plastic.
The unit I received had the right side of the display crushed in transit, but DX promptly arranged for a replacement. Interestingly the unit still more or less worked as long as the reading didn't try to take the needle into the damaged area.
Good price for an accurate and versatile analog multimeter.
