This cable does not convert VGA to s-video or rca signal. You should check if your graphic card supports signal type switching. If not dont buy this converter. If you want to connect your pc to the tv this cable is NOT that what you need. Else your tv/pc have built in signal converters, if yes you can use this converter with no problems. You can contact ... Well built, looks like regular cable. I wanted to connect my TV with S-Video in to any of my computers (without S-Video out). Didn't work for me. I tried both with my laptop (without S-Video out) and with my netbook (with VGA out only). Didn't help. Someone said that it worked fine for him: "if you need to connect a laptop and don't have any hdmi ... Read more

It's well built, thick cable. This cable does not convert VGA signals to RCA/video signals. This is not really a con, but if you bought this to convert your computer screen output to RCA signals, it does not work. I bought this converter cable in good faith that I could connect it to my computer. Truth is, VGA and RCA uses very differenet image signals,... Read more

Seems well built. Do not full yourself, this is not a converter. That is not really a con, but many people will make this mistake. VGA is a very different video signal then composite RCA or S-Video. This should not be confused with VGA video signal and composite video signal which are comparable. Under normal conditions, in order to convert a VGA signal ... Read more

It works great. Just buying the components to build one yourself cost more than what DealExtreme charge for the item plus its free shipping. How do they do it. So good. Looks like they use just the basic material to build it but cant really complaint because it works great. Cant expect they use gold to build it for such a good price that they sell it ... Read more

Was cheap, no reason to think I can't make it work. No support on site. Would at least like to see the pinning, even if it's a well known standard to the cogniscenti. I'm writing this now only because the other reviews cry out for some immediate clarifying details. I bought it to link to a HD TV that has an S-video (and HDML and various RCA-plug type ...
