Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week
- Cutting cable is a breeze, less effort require that using pliers/sidecutters.
- Doesn't squish the end of coaxial cables, leaves a nice clean cut.
- Easy movement, not stiff to open or close.
The steel doesn't appear to be very hard.
After about 20 - 30 cuts of RG6 coax, I can see a small chunk taken out of either side from where its been hitting the center pin, which is only copper and shouldn't be too tough to cut through.
The cutting edge is rather thin at that point, but it should be tougher than that.
Nevertheless, it is still cutting well regardless.
These are good, if only they were made with a more hardened steel. I use them to cut RG6, CAT5 and 4 and 6 core cable on almost a daily basis now at work.
If you cut wires regularly for work, grab a pair. The price is reasonable, grab a pair even if you don't I guess.
