Pros:
I tested the adapter with the ipad2 ios5.1.1 to view all the pictures we backup from our recent vacation in the Pacific to the ipad2 and this adapter just works out-of-the-box. Just plug the HDMI cable, make sure the mini-switch is set to HDMI and you are in business with the TV. It is very cool to view the ipad on the TV. For this price, it is very hard to beat considering how expen$ive the adapter from Apple. I have not test the USB thing as I was looking to use more of the HDMI output.
Cons:
Not really a huge thing but we have to remove our protective cover of the ipad to plug the adapter. I might shop for a small extender to remove this annoying thing. The adapter is easily unplug from the ipad.
Other:
Just go for this if you need inexpen$ive iphone/ipad HDMI adapter.
Bottomline:
I will certainly recommend this adapter to family and friends looking for HDMI Ipad/Iphone adapter.
