    Works as original

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
This Ethernet shield is fully compatible with the Arduino Uno at a fraction of the price of the original shield. You don't support the Arduino guys with this one, but theirs is too expensive compared to this one. Works as advertised.
    Cons:
QC as to be expected good enough. Parts are not completely aligned, but with some fiddling and bending it makes a snug fit on t...

    Pros:
This is a good product for a good price! It just works out of the box. I have been working with it for few months and it still works really good. It was a great addition to my hobby project of an atmospheric data logger with MySQL server.
    Cons:
The quality could be a little better. In my Arduino Uno it fitted very well, but on my Arduino Mega 2560 it was a little hard t...

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
Support for Arduino very well. I bought an Arduino Uno from DX and they worked well together. The pins fits nicely. Dont need to solder anything. Easy to find tutorials and documents for this chip. The price is good for a housemade project.
    Cons:
The pins were somewhat crooked. But nothing to worry because its easy to put on they right way again.

    Best arduino shield ever!

posted by Alver on 05/09/2013 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
Plug and play; I was expecting some hassle to get it working but it turns out to be "almost" a no-brainer. Example sketches from arduino IDE compiled and executed perfectly. Even the TF slot worked well too.
    Cons:
None at all. I was expecting PoE but to be honest I don´t even have a switch supporting PoE, so it´s irrelevant.
