    Pros:
    * Bright * Uses Alkaline AA batteries fine (NiMH work beautifully too) * Good range of modes (Med = 70% of Hi, Low = 25% of Hi) * gaskets seem to fit and seal well * Threads are smooth and seemed lubed from supplier * Smooth reflector = longer throw (E...
    Cons:
    * Power button seems tough to push once in a while (Like it gets caught on itself internally) * AA battery carrier is built a ...

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
Very bright flash light, enough to be used during fast bike ride or in tactic games Reasonable brightness levels covering wide range from super-bright to long-lasting Energy efficient Rigid and modular construction (can be taken apart to really basic parts)
    Cons:
When using 3xAA batteries, there's a slight play inside the torch body causing the light to flicker when used in dynamic condit...

Bright light that fits to my hand nicely

posted by R9999 on 02/14/2013 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
Very handy size and fits my handle very nicely. Solid look and feel. You can see traffic signs 300 meters away. O-rings so probably handles normal rain and splashes. Can use AA batteries/Ni-MH's that are very commonly available and work well in cold tempera...
    Cons:
Tailcap clicky is not very handy to use, but didn't find any other suitable light with the thumb clicky. Strobo and SOS modes a...

    Bright Light

posted by RDA5307 on 01/26/2013 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
Very bright and takes AA batteries. Seems to be very high quality - good machining and the switch seems sturdy. The memory feature on the modes is good - I usually want the light on bright, so it's good to be able to turn it off and then back on with just...
    Cons:
I probably should have gotten a 3 mode, as I don't find the fast strobe or SOS to be very useful, and it just takes time to cli...

    Pros:
Strong, robust, and finish great. When you hold it you feel quality. Perfect spread of light and distance for night fishing or camping or when walking around the scrub and scanning the terrain from a ridge. No problem with 3 x AA 2500mAh batteries. Beats m...

No cons - love it and works for me for my outdoor needs.

    Not bad

posted by detour35 on 12/26/2012 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
Bought this because it is one of the few brighter flashlight that can use AA batteries (hope they make more available). Used it as a bike light and served well, decent brightness and distance. Have used on AAs about 3 times, total about 3 hours on Mid, sti...
    Cons:
Too heavy and big (though that gives it a solid feel--not sure if a much smaller and lighter one could have the same brightness...

One of the only 3AA Flashlights With the Batteries in a Holder

posted by SMSLB on 12/24/2012 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:less than 1 day

    Pros:
I was looking for an 3AA flashlight because the more common 3AAA flashlights have such short battery life. Strobe mode was essential because it's for use as a bicycle light to replace a 3C flashlight that is very bright but just too big for the handlebars. ...
    Cons:
The packaging was very poor. The box was shoved into a padded envelope and the box arrived all beat up.

    good buy

posted by kiselandrew on 12/20/2012 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
A good flashlight, especially the use of AA or 18650 or 26650. Far enough light, and the light is scattered around, which allows its use in household purposes. Not very cold light, it is good. Did not notice that something was heated, perhaps because he use...
    Cons:
Prevent strobe and SOS modes. They are quite useless and interfere with selecting the remaining modes.
