A neat little tripod – Mini Scissor-Type Tripod Reviews

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

Pros:
Even though it's mostly plastic, build and paint quality are good. Seems sturdy enough to support most compact digital and film cameras (though I wouldn't trust it to hold heavier SLR cameras).
Cons:
The rubber used for the leg tips is way too soft, which increases the chance of camera shake when pressing the shutter (using a time delay on the shutter will cure this problem, provided your camera has this feature). The pin holding the three legs together seems pressed on (like a rivet), which means you probably won't be able to tighten it once it loosens--a nut-and-bolt type of arrangement (like the one used for the head) would've been better.
Other:
When folded with its head bent back, it should fit into most small camera bags (which is why I bought it).
Bottomline:
Despite its wobbly feet, this is probably the best value in compact tripods out there.
