Good "small" amp ! – TDA8920 BTH Class D Power Amplifier Board (2 x 100W / AC 12.5~20V) Reviews

Pros:
Small and powerful (D-class). Needs only a simple transformer to work but SMPS would make it light weight.
Cons:
Not yet seen. Might that small cooling flange be enough for full power 2x100 W operation ?
Other:
I listened this in my home recording studio using minimal voltage 12-0-12 V transformer resulting +-18 v DC on capacitors. I did not find anything to complain, sound is good and module generates surprising little heat due to D-class operation of power amp IC. I did not have chance to test with full specified supply voltage. That will happen later when I receive a better power supply (ordered already). Input connector puzzled me a lot. It is not the same as used in PCs for fans like I first thought. I did not know even a name for it ! For testing I broke & cut old sound cable to force it fit there. Later I learned that connector is probably called "XH2.54-3P" (inch dimensions) or "XH2.5-3P" (mm dimensions). Not sure which one.
Bottomline:
Excellent amp for the money. There is competition though. Check yourself need for further cooling (fan etc) if squeezing out full power.
