Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month
Gets the job done, good price, acceptable flow, comes in three convenient tubes that can be easily thrown in a toolbox and keep the solder clean. Its 60/40 which means its a leaded solder which is much easier to work with than the lead free solder.
Not as good as (much) more expensive solder like Kester etc.
1 mm is too thick for fine jobs (thinner solder gives you finer control on the solder amount you use)
This solder is great for the occasional soldier job, getting this fixed around the house or for hobby use. I used this for some RC projects and got good solid joints.
Good cheap solder for the hobbyist or for small projects, convenient form factor to keep in the toolbox .
