Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
It works as an external keyboard. What it does is write a sequence of 10 numbers + enter wherever the cursor is, whenever a card is passed. This reader works with the 125kHz technology, so keep that in mind while buying the cards. In this technology, the da...
    Cons:
    No cons at all.

    Cheapest plug-and-play ID Card reader!

posted by pcmihnea on 05/15/2013 Certified Owner

    Pros:
This, with the addition of 125KHz ID cards (for ex. SKU163111) equals the cheapest user authentication system money can buy! You just plug it it a USB port, and it will appear as a generic USB Keyboard. When you scan a card at at a maximum distance of 5cm, ...

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:

    Cons:
I expected a serial device considered the 9600bd reference in the text. If you attach the device to the Mac then OSX wants you ...
