Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week
-Very inexpensive for what it does
-Very small (I cannot see it sticking out from my OBD II port
-Easily pairs with a smartphone or computer
-Useful for reading OBD II codes with compatible software
-There is no indicator light to indicate whether it is on or not
-No other cons for this price...
I was very cautious when I bought this OBD II reader. It was the first day DX had it, and it was the cheapest and smallest I had seen so far, but it works very well with my 2008 MINI Cooper S, and the Torque app for Android! The only thing I have yet to see that other reviews on OBD II readers have commented on is a continuous battery drain, but the phone seems to loose connection when the car turns off indicating the module also turns off.
This is an awesome product for the price! Larger ones sell on DX for $10+ more and do exactly the same thing.
