Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month
I bought some for general use, and one thing I tried was pointing a green laser at the inside of the front rim.
Having been almost wiped out twice this week, being visible is high on my priority list.
The laser lighted up the rim nicely, and the flickiness from the spokes works well and is very obvious.
* it buggers up your night vision (should have used a red laser)
* green (and blue) lights are actually illegal on vehicles here.
* the clamp is not perfect and does allow the laser to sag a bit on each bump.
Pointing a light straight ahead would work much better than aiming it down steeply.
I also recommend you use the wriststrap on your torches and half hitch them around the handlebar, just in case the clamp fails.
