Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

Pros:
Very very cheap, impressed some of the architects I work with. Simpleish to use, assuming you can hold it flat
Cons:
Seems to undermeasure the distance, but still fairly useful, we would not use it for profesional survey.
Other:
Buy if you want to get pretty good distance reading, dont if you want it to replace a good old fashion tape measure. the reading cannot be totally trusted.
Bottomline:
Very good for the price, but pountless for proish use. On a measure of 2.38 known distance, this read 2.32. this is ok, on reading of 1.7, this read 1.67, reading above this are around the same tolerance.
