It works in the end, is light weight and produces a beautiful blue light...
It cost $2.54!
I got this today. Opened up the package, and tried sliding the light onto the plastic housing attached to the headband. The plastic housing attached to the headband snapped in half and instantly became useless.
I put in 3aaa batteries to try it out and it didn't work...
I opened it up and found that one of the wires was de-soldered so I re-soldered both wires (the second one fell off when I was soldering the first).
I put it back together, and with some bending of the battery contacts managed to get it to work, although the battery case cracked when I put in one of the batteries.
I cut the headband, removed the broken housing and fed the band directly through the light body (there are two slots that work perfectly for this). I then sewed the band so it was back in a loop, and the light actually now works pretty well and is very functional.
The strobe is annoying...
Buy this light if you want a cheap headlight and don't mind spending a couple hours soldering and sewing.
