Perfect form factor for 18650 laptop cells.
Nicely sized connector strips.
The rated 10A is WAY overkill for single cell usage even if it does trip before you get there.
No gasket or washer, to keep it properly spaced on the bottom of the cell when making a protected battery.
The rating on this circuit would indicate it was designed for a 2 parallel cell battery. Unfortunately, the connector strips are only long enough for a single cell.
"fortunately" the circuit trips well before it reached 10A. For my largest bare cell(3400mAh) the circuit trips at JUST above 2C.
It really could use a plastic washer, to keep the ICs from resting against the protective paper on the bottom of the cell. Fortunately, 2 min with a piece of nylon on a lathe, and I now have a dozen spacers. Also, don't forget your Kapton Tape.
Get a bunch. have a few spares.
If converting unprotected cells, or replacing failed circuits, they work great.
