Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
Inexpensive tool of high-quality polymer. Sharp blades are used for a long time. 3 tools per pack just to provide the tools home, at work and with each other.
    Cons:
Blade poorly fixed. Do not attempt to remove the isolation by blade, only cut. The blade can be removed and sharpened or replac...

    Pros:
Great little tool, does the job. No need for a big cutter, this tiny thing will do. Even cuts and strips thicker wires. If you make a careful circular movement around thicker wires it will strip them.
    Cons:
No real cons actually. Maybe that the hole for your finger could be a littlebit wider, seems to be made for smaller fingers. An...

    Pros:
Very light and simple to use. Great for carrying around in your toolbag or even on a keyring if you work with network/phone cable on a daily basis like i do. The fact you get 3 is also a bonus. I would mainly use these as a backup when my main cable strippe...
    Cons:
For the price i can't fault this product in any way. If using it to punch cables it obviously doesn't trim the excess cable so ...

These are basically the most useful things in existence (for a network engineer): * Crimp your cables into a patch port * Easily strip the end of any CAT cable to present inner wires * What else do you want?
    Cons:
The blade has broken out before when applying far too much force, but it was very easy to clip back in. Perhaps some stronger g...

Nice Tool But Not Very Strong

posted by ChrSt on 11/23/2012 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
    - Clever design. - Nice price. - You can cut your cables with ease. - The most good think is that it has 3-4 places hols to input various wires to strip.
    Cons:
    - Unfortunately with heavy usage the tools may disassemble. Dont try with force movements but around around the wire and gently.
