Reads usb thumbdrives, sd cards (don't try expensive or micro sd cards, see below) and can take external audio as an input through a 3.5 mm stereo jack (walkman-style standard).
Accepts commands from keys on the device or from the remote control (if aimed at the tiny screen).
Shows song name.
With an el-cheapo 512M regular sd card it worked fine, same as with sku.19040 when used with a sd to usb adapter.
Folder names only displayed in 8.3 .
Song file names scroll slowly (but at least they display fully)
Awkward volume setting from the keys on the device.
Use a usb adapter if you have any.
Don't use expensive sd cards with it.
Don't use cards that have files that haven't been backed up.
Do not use it to listen to bad/obnoxious/toxic sounds (which I won't call "music"), just use it to listen to actual music.
Listen with the radio to the frequency you want to use before plugging this in, to make sure it's really empty before polluting it or getting polluted by it.
