-1 GSa/s makes it great for most jobs.
-Possibility of 100 MHz analog bandwidth conversion makes it a best buy if you need a 100 MHz oscilloscope.
-Construction seems really tough and durable.
-Back lit buttons are great.
-Very fast response to buttons or controls.
-Only one control for both vertical channels, so you have to select each one before changing scale or position. Anyway it makes sense when you activate the math or reference channel, you can use the same controls after selecting them.
At first I was confused and used the horizontal scale control, trying to move channel two. But after some time using this oscilloscope got accustomed.
I've used tektronix bottom-line DSOs on school for some years and the other day I compared it to this rigol DS1052E. I must say that the rigol felt much more fast responding and has a bunch of extra features.
