An affordable piece of electronics – Infrared 35-LED Illuminator Board Plate for 3.6mm Lens CCTV Security Camera Reviews

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

Pros:
- You get a wired, resistor-equipped, out-of-the-box set of 35 IR LEDS - It actually has an LDR-sensor to detect the correct level of darkness for the IR's to shine - The price, compared to individual LEDS, is good - The hole in the middle is convenient (for camera lenses) - It has mounting holes all over it - Seem sturdy and well-built
Cons:
- You can see the LEDs glow, which looks cool, but is beside the point - It does not come with a corresponding plug. Luckily the socket can be stripped to two bare leads - The board tends to heat up - The circuit board is bare (good for DIY projets, but inconvenient in practice) - High voltage is needed (12V)
Other:
Provide a suitable plug for the power socket.
Bottomline:
If you know what you're doing, get this cheap Infra-Red circuit.
