Revives your old telly – Scart DVB-T Digital Terrestrial Receiver with Remote Control Reviews

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

Pros:
- Sensitive tuner - Small (practically invisible as it hides behind the TV) - Easy to use remote control with sensitive tuner
Cons:
Unlike some other models, this receiver does not "bend", so you need to make sure that there is enough space behind the TV for this to fit. Also, the receiver gets a bit thick from immediately behind the SCART plug, which prevents it from fitting on some TV sets which have a recessed SCART socket.
Other:
I like the fact that this receiver has an old-style canister tuner rather than a silicone tuner. It's not that silicone tuners are inferior by nature, but silicone tuners are more prone to interference due to poor design and RF insulation. So, this way, the canister tuner eliminates such errors, making this receiver able to catch poor signals in fringe areas.
Bottomline:
If you have an old CRT telly running around which you would like to keep using, this might be one of the best choices out there for the price.
