works as expected and will be very handy

Involvement:Novice  (still getting used to it) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
The magnesium works (catches fire), the flint sparks, and the little 'knife' that comes with it is designed to both flake the magnesium using the end, and create the spark using the side. Just as expected.
    Cons:
The 'knife' could be just a bit larger for comfortable use, but is fine.

    Good for emergencies, incredibly useful

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
Lightweight, small, fits basically anywhere you'd want it to! Fits really nicely in the hand, so it's easy to grip when you're using it to strike the flint edge. Magnesium is easy to shave off and only requires a small (quarter-sized pile) amount to start a...
    Cons:
Included chain is fairly cheap and short, but it's replaced easily enough and can be separated, so it's no big deal.

    nice product

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
A solid structure block and scraper, easy to hold in hands. Provides a lot of sparks. Generally - does what it's supposed to do. Doesn't have a expiration date, so you can hold on to it without worrying, that it will go bad and wont work when needed
    Cons:
Flint seems to be rather small, it looks like the magnesium block will last a lot longer.

    First Fire Starter

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
It's small enough to leave on my keychain if I go out in the woods, or I can combine with the blade included with it and tuck in a backpack. Feels sturdy, nice big sparks, and Magnesium burning is so... pretty.
    Cons:
None that I can tell. The Sparkle on the side (the flint I suppose) may eventually wear out. Will expand in other thoughts.

    Pros:
It does what it promises. It's not hard to light a fire using it (with or without the Magnesium), specially with have experience with other similar Fire Starters.
    Cons:
The object itself is made of magnesium, which means you'll lose the metal just by holding it. You will have magnesium all over ...

    Pros:
Small and light yet very effective Needs to be tucked away in every outdoor adventurers pack or pocket. Can be used with gloves on if need be which could save you from frostbite. Hunters need at least a few
    Cons:
The small chains that keep it together could break but just put a string in its place and have your own tinder
